The best trails in the valley? 1
Who knows, but it depends on what you are into. As far as these trails go:
1. Very quiet, very few signs of other bike traffic, no tyre marks but a few obvious cut-throughs that others have used.
2. Flowing but with some steep sections.
3. Switchbacks, some quite tricky ones.
4. All rideable (just), I gave myself 7/10 for the first trail and 9.5/10 on the second. I’ll have to work on my switchback technique for the first trail.
Both the trails are accessed from the Grande Terche telecabine, the first is a right turn out of the lift and descends under the lift, the second is a left turn towards Graydon, go out to Joranloup and drop about 700m, 90% on singletrack.
We also went exploring above Les Mouilles, there is quite a long home made trail in there, including berms, jumps and quite a lot of woodwork. No pictures but it might be worth resurrecting. It’s on the GPS file.
Guy from FlowMTB took his posh camera, here are his pictures.
