Friday ride 3
We changed plan A (Samoens) because of lack of interest. Instead Steve (could not get enough of it on Wednesday so was back out with us today), Tom, Lee and I went for a ride closer to home.
We took in the Pleney, Chavannes, The Shore to Nauchets, circle around to the Colorado singletrack, back to Les Gets, Chavannes, the red to Nauchets, Joux Plan (coffee), Nyon traverse and the extension, Atray and the roller-coaster to Morzine, back up the Pleney, the Piste Verte (great nick), Morzine, Super Morzine, Zore followed by one of the unofficial trails (sorry, we don’t have a name) and Run of the Mill.
52km, and 3,400m of descent and all wrapped up by 3.30pm in time for a late lunch in Morzine. My favorite type of ride that left me in a very good mood. Not too long, so not completely buggered at the end of it. Some of my favorite trails with some steady riders (so almost no chaos!), big grins all round.
These two pictures were taken on the exit from the unnamed track on the Super Morzine. Check out the conditions, it had rained last night. Still dusty though.
It was not my most successful day with the camera, this is pretty much it. Tom is pictured here posing on the Nyon traverse.

Lack of interest in Samoën? Does not compute….
A bit odd, I agree.
Another great day out and couldn’t get enough. Thanks G. Carried on riding that day till the rear mech broke! How there can be a lack of interest is beyond me! Shoulder still suffering from Run of the Mill tumble, acts as a reminder of a top day whilst now stuck at my desk
