Morzine to Samoens 0

Given the chance we (endlessride) do this descent every week. It’s one of my favorites. In the 7 years I’ve been doing the descent I’ve never bumped into another biker. I guess blogging about it won’t help my cause and when I do meet someone else I’ll be very upset. Oh well, if you do seek it out from the information here then you owe us a beer. Even then there are a number of variations, none of which we went on today.

This has everything for me, views, singletrack, solitude and more views. As far as I’m concerned it needs to be bone dry before you go and do it, the roots are grim otherwise. We all make mistakes. Though not today. It was bone dry.

It’s early season and we used an uplift to come home via a mellow ride to Taninges. If the Joux Plan road had been open we’d have gone back up and returned via the “Nyon Traverse”. As it was we got to have a dip in a lake. Very pleasant, especially as it was 30C today.

I didn’t have a stills camera with me today but managed some video. The picture above is a video grab of Lee.

The GPS details of the route.
