Avoriaz circuit 0
100% bluebird today, the rain from the last few days has given everything a really deep green colour, the far mountains were shining too as they had fresh snow on them. Our trails were dry apart from the drainage points, reports from the downhill courses where “mint, really grippy”.
We started off with an uplift to Avoriaz and then did a circuit of the “ridge” down the freeraid route to the “Col de la Croix des Combes”, grunt back up the hill for 20 minutes and followed by the “Swiss super highway” to the Broachaux waterfall – which was looking a bit too clichéd, back to Linderets, my guys refused a coffee at the Marmot (mistake) to cruise back to Morzine via the Lac de Montriond. A classic trip.
Set off at 11am, back for 2.30pm, didn’t meet any bikers at all. David and Bojan had some lunch and went up the Pleney for another beating.
PS, I forgot my GPS! So I went back a week later and did exactly the same route!
